More of what you love about the Golf

The SportWagen is the result of Volkswagen engineers trying to cram as much cargo space as they could into a Golf, while still keeping it small and nimble. It gives you the same 170 hp turbocharged driving experience, just with an extra foot in the back. And new for this year, you can stay more connected on the road. The MIB II infotainment system has a USB port, big touchscreen and VW Car-Net App-Connect to let you run your smartphone apps right in the dash.

The little bit of extra length in the SportWagen equals about an extra 14 cubic feet of cargo space over the original Golf. With the rear seats folded down and cargo floor secured, that’s 66.5 cubic feet — more than you get in many crossover utility vehicles! And there’s extra utility on offer as well. You can use the modular roof rails to carry even more. And if anything needs to be plugged in, there are 12V plus 115V outlets in the cargo area.
